If your VPS server has problems or malfunctions - read this manual. So you can speed up the process of solving the problem by the support service, or solve it yourself.
1. The volume of the disk has not increased
When ordering additional disk space, the partitions will grow automatically. Partitions may not grow if you have partitioned the disc yourself.
1. Connect to the server as root.
2. To list the existing partitions, run:
fdisk -l
3. to view the size of the partitions run:
df –h
Create a ticket to technical support with a description of the problem and the results of diagnostics.
2. The amount of RAM has not increased
1. Connect to the server as root
2. To view the amount of used and unused memory (in megabytes), run:
fdisk -l
Create a ticket to technical support with a description of the problem and the results of diagnostics.
3. OS does not boot
Boot the OS in recovery mode. After that, reboot normally. If after that the OS does not boot - create a ticket to technical support.
4. Unstable work of the server, freezes
Typically, this problem is caused by overloading the server.
You can check the load in the control panel or using utilities (top, atop, htop, etc.).
If the load has not been exceeded, and the server is unstable, create a ticket to technical support for diagnostics. Try to describe the problem in as much detail as possible.
5. After restarting the server, the site is still unavailable
When a critical kernel error occurs, the following may occur:
• impossibility of actions in the server console in the panel,
• unavailability of the site.
When the server restarts, click the Force restart button. This will restart the virtual server and restore normal operation of the OS kernel.
