Why Is File Manager Option Absent in ISPmanager as Root?

This article will help you find out why is there no File manager option in ISPmanager as root.

For security reasons, the file manager for the root user is disabled by default in the ISPmanager control panel. That is, each user manages the files of his domain on their own. If you still need to use a file manager, you can use the following two options:

  1. Create a new additional user to work with files. In the Users section, click Add and grant the new user the appropriate rights. After you enter the panel under this user, you can work with the file manager.

  2. Enable root user access to the file manager.
Attention! This option is recommended only for experienced administrators!
As root, in the File Manager tab, select the module and click Access. Set the value to Allowed to all.
