# Installing Chrome Browser on a Windows Server

## This article is a step-by-step guide explaining how to download, install, and set up Google Chrome on a Windows Server 2012.

**WARNING!**

Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration protects your browser and system from potential attacks that occur through web content and scripts. This may cause some websites to display or function incorrectly.

Therefore, to install the Chrome browser on a Windows server, first disable IE Enhanced Security Configuration. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click **Start** and open **Server Manager**.

2. Select **Local Server** and disable **IE Enhanced Security Configuration** by selecting the appropriate options.

3. Click **OK** to save the changes.

After completing these steps, you can install the Chrome browser on your Windows server.

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. You will see a security warning window.

3. Follow[this link](https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/) to download Google Chrome.
4. Click **Download Chrome** → accept the terms of service and wait for the installer to download.

5. Run the installer by clicking the **Run** button, and the installation will begin automatically.

6. Congratulations! The Chrome browser installation on your Windows server is complete.
