Choosing an AI Model in the is*ai Panel

This article explains how to choose and set an AI model in the is*ai Panel, compare model capabilities, and choose the best option for one-time or recurring tasks.

At the top of the is*ai panel, use the model selector (e.g., "gemma3:latest").

Recommendations for selecting AI models in the is*ai panel:

  1. Click the model name, then choose a new model from the drop-down.

  2. For single tasks, pick a model before sending your message.
  3. For recurring tasks, choose a model and click Set as Default to use it in future chats.

  4. If results are unsatisfactory, try another model as they may vary in speed, quality, or language.
