Installing SSL Certificates in ISPmanager

This article will help you to know how to install a free SSL certificate in the ISPmanager control panel.

In the ISPmanager control panel, you can install an SSL certificate on the website, if it is issued for your domain. The user who added the site must have access to use SSL.

To give access to use SSL to the user, follow the steps:

  1. Log in to ISPmanager as root.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. In the opened window highlight the user, click button, and choose Edit or choose Edit in the upper menu.

  4. In the opened window, in the Access section, check the SSL box.

To install an SSL certificate on the website, follow the steps:

  1. To go to the panel as this user, in the Users section, select the line with the required user and click button, and choose Log in as user or click Log in as user in the upper menu.

  2. In the SSL-certificates section, click Add certificate.

  3. In the opened window, select the Existing certificate type.
  4. Click Next.

  5. Fill in fields in the new window:
    • SSL certificate name – the name under which the certificate will be displayed in the panel.
    • SSL Certificate – paste the content of the certificate.
    • SSL Certificate Key – paste the contents of the private key.
    • SSL certificate chain – insert the chain of certificates that signed this certificate. The chain comes in a letter from the certification authority as a file with the .ca-bundle extension.
  6. Click Finish.

  7. To connect the certificate, go to the Sites section.
  8. Highlight the required domain, click button, and choose Edit or choose Edit in the upper menu.

  9. In the SSL tab and select the required certificate.
  10. Click Save.
