How to Add User in VestaCP
Admin is the main user with the maximum set of rights in VestaCP (like a root in Unix OS). It is created automatically and allows you to make any settings for the server and the VestaCP panel:
- install, remove or change server components,
- configure the firewall,
- remove or add IP addresses,
- add/edit users, etc.
It is not recommended to work as the admin user unnecessarily for server security and the best practice is to create other users with the necessary permissions to manage sites.
- To add a new user click the USER tab. Then click the green button ADD USER.
- Fill in all the required fields in the new window.
The new user can connect to the server via FTP.
These settings can be changed in the future. Admin can delete, block or change any user's settings.
