Creating Users in HestiaCP
This article will show you how to create a user in HestiaCP.
The Hestia control panel creates an administrative user, admin, by default. This user has elevated privileges, so it is not recommended to add sites on its behalf for security reasons. In addition, some functions related to working with sites are unavailable to the administrator. Therefore, the first step to working with websites in HestiaCP is to add a regular user account.
To create a user in HestiaCP, follow these steps:
- In your browser, go to https://server_IP_address:8083.
- Log in to the panel as admin.
- Enter the password that was sent to your contact mail after the server installation was completed.
- Go to the USER section and click Add User.
- Fill in all the required fields of the form and click Save.
- Congratulations! You have created a new user account and can now log in to the Hestia control panel on their behalf.
