To configure OpenVPN, download the current version of the OpenVPN application from the link https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html and the OpenVPN configuration file (UDP/TCP) from the link like http://XX.XX.XX.XX:XXXX/mS84McHrsn/, which you received by email when activating the service:
Install the latest version of the OpenVPN application on your computer (client). There is no need to change the default settings:
Agree to install an additional driver.
After the installation is complete, copy the client**.ovpn file to the program installation folder. The default path is "C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config\"
Run the OpenVPN application and by right-clicking on the application icon on the Windows taskbar, click "Connect".
If the connection is successful, you will see the result in the bottom line "CONNECTED, SUCCESS".
To avoid problems with the launch and operation of OpenVPN, we strongly recommend that you run the application as an administrator. To do this, by right-clicking on the application shortcut, in the shortcut properties on the "Compatibility" tab, check the "Run this program as administrator" box.
IMPORTANT! To fix DNS leaks, follow these steps:
- Use the OpenVPN application of the current version (if necessary, update via the link https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/)
- Add a line to the connection config block-outside-dns.
