AWStats statistics

AWStats (Advanced Web Statistics) generates reports on the statistics of visits to your site. The information from the server logs is used, which is provided in the form of tables and graphs.

AWStats is installed upon request with a support ticket as additional software when the server is activated or later as part of free administration (with the ordered control panel).

Content of AWStats statistics

Summary

It contains information for the selected month:

  • Unique visitors. The number of unique visitors for the period is taken into account.
  • Pages. The number of pages viewed by users.
  • Hits. The total number of requests to pages and files of the site.
  • Bandwidth. The amount of data that was transmitted to site visitors, in bytes.

When

You can view information for different periods:

  • for all months of the year,
  • for each day,
  • by days of the week in the selected period,
  • averages for each hour.

Who

  • geography of site visitors,
  • a list of IP addresses from which requests were made to the site,
  • a list of search robots that indexed the site.

Navigation

  • the number of visits of different duration (for example, up to 30 seconds, from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, from 15 to 30 minutes, etc.).
  • the types of files that are most often requested,
  • a list of files downloaded from the site,
  • most visited pages,
  • pages for entering and exiting the site.
  • OS and browsers of site visitors.

Referrers

  • origin of visitors (paths to the site),
  • search (keywords and phrases by which users find the site).

Others

  • mixed (various information that does not belong to any of the categories above),
  • HTTP error statuses,
  • list of not found pages (error 404).
