Antivirus Virusdie

Virusdie antivirus can find and eliminate malicious codes in PHP, HTML, JS, system and other files. The free version can only scan once a month and detect threats. To cure and delete infected files, you must purchase the full version.

Free trial installation

To install Virusdie, open the Integration section and select Modules. Then find Virusdie and click "Install". During installation, specify the size of the report, or leave the default value.

You can install the free version of Virusdie only in the ISPmanager panel with an activated license and version 5.101 or higher.

Site check

In the Tools section, select Virusdie, then click Check. The free version of Virusdie automatically checks all sites located on the virtual server when scanning starts. In the paid version, you can select the user whose directories you want to check.

After the scan is complete, click Details to view suspicious files.

Switching to the paid version of Virusdie

The paid version can perform any number of checks. The infected files are also disinfected or deleted.

To  upgrade to the full version, go to the Integration - Modules section. In the Virusdie row, click Buy.

If you do not have a personal ISPmanager account, you need to create it during the upgrade to the paid version of Virusdie. Be sure to include a valid email address. If you already have an account, just enter your username and password.

Virusdie settings

Log in to the panel as root. Select Tools - Virusdie.

Select the appropriate user or user group to apply settings to their directories. Click Options.

Select the options you want:

  • Automatic scan start - by default, daily scan is enabled.
  • User access to Virusdie - granting users the right to run the scan and view the results.
  • Store reports - specifies the maximum number of scan reports for each user. When the specified value is reached, the oldest report will be deleted before creating a new one.
  • Automatic disinfection - automatic elimination of threats.
  • Allow to delete entire files - delete the file if necessary.

By default, only the root user can change Virusdie settings. Other users can only make changes if they have been granted access to this module. At the same time, ordinary users can enable the Automatic disinfection and Allow to delete entire files only when the scan is started manually options.

User access to Virusdie

To set up access rights to the module, you need to log into the control panel as root. Select the required user in the Accounts - Users section. After highlighting the required user, click Change. In the window that opens, check the boxes next to the required items in the Access tab.

Scan exclusions

In the Tools - Virusdie section, click the Exclusions button in order not to scan certain files or directories during scanning. At the next step, click Create and enter the path to those files or folders that will be skipped during scanning.

Email notifications

You can configure notifications in Virusdie - Virusdie Settings. Here you can specify the mail to which notifications will be sent, as well as configure the frequency of sending reports.

If email notifications have not been configured on your VPS server yet, do it in the next step. You must specify your e-mail and SMPT server port. You can also specify which notifications will be sent to the virtual server administrator - about authorization, password change or recovery, etc.

The administrator will receive notifications at the frequency specified in the settings. Virusdie users who set up notifications for themselves will receive reports after scans.
