      WireGuard Installation on Windows OS

      This article will help you to know how to install and configure WireGuard on your Windows OS (operating system) (versions 7, 8.1, 10, 11, 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022).

      To install and configure WireGuard on your Windows OS, follow the steps:

      1. Download the latest version of the WireGuard application for Windows OS.

        2. In the Installation tab, click Download Windows Installer.

      2. Launch the WireGuard installer on your computer. 
      3. Additionally, download the WireGuard configuration file (wg_client**.conf) from the provided link: http://server_IP:port/xxxxxxxxxx/. You should have received this link via email when the service is activated.

      4. You can also find VPN access in your client area.
        1. In your client area, find the VPN Servers tab.
        2. Click Manage.

        3. In the Access section, find the WireGuard settings.

      5. Install the downloaded WireGuard application on your computer (client) and click Import tunnel(s) from file or Add Tunnel.

      6. Then, select the previously downloaded WireGuard configuration file (wg_client**.conf).
      7. After successfully importing the configuration file, click Activate to establish a connection with the WireGuard server.

      8. If the connection is successful, you will see a notification on the taskbar (in the bottom right corner of the screen).

      9. To disconnect from the WireGuard server, click on Disconnect in the WireGuard application window. Once disconnected, you will see a notification without a green server connection indicator on the taskbar (in the bottom right corner of the screen).
