[Hysteria](https://help.ishosting.com/en/vpn#hysteria) # Installing and Configuring Hysteria for Android ## This article explains how to set up and configure a VPN connection based on the Hysteria protocol on a Linux VPS in the Nekobox application for Android. **Hysteria** is a high-performance, cross-platform proxy and VPN protocol built for fast, reliable, and censorship-resistant traffic. Hysteria runs on a modified QUIC protocol and supports SOCKS5, HTTP proxy, UDP/TCP forwarding, and Linux TProxy modes. **NekoBox** is one of the best apps for installing and configuring a **Hysteria**-based VPN connection on a Linux VPS for **Android**. The advantage of using NekoBox is that, after changing the configuration, the app will automatically download and apply the latest version, eliminating the need for manual re-entry of the V2Ray code each time. This guide explains how to set up the Hysteria protocol on a Linux VPS using NekoBox for Android. Before using the NekoBox app, copy the link (like hy2://xxxxxxxxx@IP:443) to your clipboard from the new server information you received in the email immediately after activating your order. 2.
